C H A L L E N G E

This business has served in the real estate industry for nearly 30 years with over 50,000 satisfied clients. They were facing challenges with their data quality as well as merging multiple data sources. Here are the key challenges facing them when we started the project:

  1. There were multiple data sources for operations, finance, and marketing, therefore making it difficult to build a holistic, unified view of the data. Additionally, there were issues with data quality, such as incomplete or inaccurate data.
  2. The presence of unstructured data provided via API with structured business data.
  3. Multiple geographical dimensions, such as DMAs, cities, counties, zip codes etc. which made it difficult to align in order to calculate important metrics such as Marketing ROI.
  4. Complex data visualizations needed that required specialized skills and expertise in data analysis and visualization tools

We discussed each challenge facing this mature company and helped design the solutions:

  1. Separate business processes and systems for managing Leads, Appointments, Listings, and Closings make it difficult to report holistically on conversion and cycle time. We integrated the data behind these 4 parts of the process to enable true customer journey analysis.
  2. Marketing spend is often distributed wide across virtual and physical mediums, so how do you measure marketing ROI by office or sales territory? We aligned the operating geography of real estate offices, territories and regions with the marketing spend defined by DMA to create a true marketing ROI analysis, and allow action to be taken at the local level
  3. Our customized data visualization dashboards enabled our client to easily understand and interpret the data, making it easy to track performance, high costs, and make informed decisions. With this they were able to gain a competitive edge in the real estate industry by making data-driven decisions that drive their business success forward.
