Pomerol Partners Enters Australian Market, Launching APAC Presence

Pomerol Partners, a UK-headquartered data and analytics consultancy, has opened an office in Melbourne, Australia, to head the consultancy’s Asia-Pacific operations.

Pomerol Partners is a specialist Microsoft Data Platform partner, working alongside leading data analytics products such as Qlik, and Snowflake.

Launched in 2013 after spinning out of Deutsche Bank, Pomerol Partners has grown its presence to include the USA and Portugal in addition to the original London (UK) office. With many of the firm’s clients having a global footprint, it made sense to ensure support for our clients by establishing an office in Australia to support the Asia Pacific client initiatives.

Leading our expansion is David Anderson who has been our Managing Partner for the EMEA business since 2020. Originally from Melbourne but spending the last 16 years based in the UK & US, David is excited to bring his experiences working with some of the largest and most complex organisations across the globe to fuel the growth in the local data ecosystem.

The launch of our Australian office is much more than just meeting current client demand, but also a strategic move to grow the partnership into new territories which are experiencing a rapidly growing and innovative data driven revolution. Australia and the region has always heavily invested in data-based decision making in order to compete on the global stage. Australia’s data analytics market is rapidly expanding and expected to grow at 20% annually through to the end of the decade. The rise in cloud-based technologies allowing for real-time analytics, coupled with the advances in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are spearheading this growth.
